If you own an eCommerce brand or are in the fashion/beauty industry, this blog post is for you. If you’re wondering why you should care about working with influencers, then read below. 👇
What is Influencer Marketing?
Influencer Marketing, to simply put it, is a social media marketing strategy that makes use of collaborations with influencers. I’m sure everyone knows what an influencer is nowadays, but if you don’t, then I define them as people who are thought-leaders or experts in their chosen niche. They often have a community of followers that they can influence or sway in their purchasing decisions.
Granted, there’s so much noise online, and social media often gets a bad rep, more so for influencers. The negativity sometimes happens because of fake stories, false advertisements, or even how people compare their lives to what they see on social media. Regardless of this, one thing remains, the digital world is here to stay. That’s why if you have a brand or business online, being present on social media is invaluable, and working with influencers is one of the many ways you can gain awareness for your business.

1. Influencers represent a community or demographic you want to reach. They’re not celebrities per se; they’re still real people good at creating content with their chosen niche. Their followers look up to them for style guides, beauty rituals, experiences, the best places to visit or shop, and even personal successes and failures.
What sets them apart from celebrities is that they still somehow live everyday lives. They are more relatable, reachable, and authentic. A post coming from them feels more human, and their followers trust them.
2. UGC’s (User Generated Content) makes it easier for you to plan your content. Let’s face it, planning and creating a 30-day social media plan is tedious and daunting. When you have a gallery of influencers posting about you, you can ask for their consent or credit them to use their photos, 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪.
